Camping Memorial Weekend

What a crazy weekend we had. We headed up to Island Park on Thursday night. When we left home it was cold and windy and starting to rain. Great way to start out the camping trip. When we got to Island Park it wasn't too bad. A little better then at home, it at least wasn't raining.....yet. We got our tent set up and went to bed. It started raining during the night and continued to rain through out Friday. Luckily my in-laws have a trailer so we hung out in the trailer the entire day. The rain stopped for a little while that evening so we were able to sit around the fire. Saturday you guessed it....more rain, until that evening when it turned to SNOW! We ended up going to Shawn's cousin's cabin for the evening, and when we got back to our camp we had a good 3 inches on our tent. But luckily we had two little space heaters in our tent so even though it was cold and nasty outside we stayed very warm. Then on Sunday it rained in the morning and in the afternoon it finally stopped raining and turned out quite nice. We were finally able to hang out outside. The kids were starting to go crazy with being stuck in the trailer. And then of course on Monday as we are packing everything up to come home it was beautiful weather. Oh well we still had a great weekend and it's always nice just to get away.




Luke loved making smores, but wasn't a fan of eating them. He would make one take a bite throw it away and start on a new one.


It felt like it was supposed to be Christmas time with it snowing. It really would have been beautiful if it wasn't the end of MAY!

Went fishing on Saturday. Shawn wasn't having much luck at first and then started catching everything. I hate fish so we didn't keep any of them (thank goodness :) )
