Linkin's Story:
So I was scheduled to be induced on Monday the 22nd. We had to be to the hospital at 7:30 that morning. So we showed up at 7:30, they got me hooked up to everything and we were just waiting for the Dr. to come in and get everything going. The Dr. came in and told me that I should have come in the night before so that I they could start everything and be going through the night. They wouldn't let me go through the day that way because then by the time the baby comes I would be tired from being in labor all day and so would the baby, so he said that he would then end up doing a C-Section. So they sent me home and said that they were going to try and get me back in that day, but they would let me know. So we played the waiting game all day long. I finally called up there at 4 only to be told that sorry they wouldn't be able to get me in that day but they for sure had me scheduled to come in Tuesday. So on Tuesday we continued to wait around until we could finally go in only to get a call at 6:30 telling us that they were full at the hospital so they were going to have postpone it.......again. So after I got off the phone and blew up and cried we sat around (me being extremely depressed) and I got a phone call at 7:30 saying that they had room now and we could come on in. We got there and got hooked up to everything........again and was very surprised when the Dr. came in and I was at a 3. They gave me some medicine to help soften everything, but was told that I would still be at a 3 the next morning and that they would break my water in the morning and the baby should be born about noon the next day. So they gave me a sleeping pill to help me relax and get some sleep about 9:30. At 10:00 I was feeling miserable. I couldn't get comfortable and everything hurt. We called the nurse in and told her how I was feeling and she tried to tell me that this medicine they gave me will put me in labor, but not active labor. I was persistent so she finally checked me and surprise I was at a 6. They called for my epidural and by the time they got there to give it to me I was at a 9 and trying not to push. They frantically started setting up everything, the anesthesiologists ran to call the Dr. and a few minutes later and 3 pushes later Linkin was born. So from start to finish I was in labor for 3 hours.
Here are some pictures from the first couple of days.
