Happy Halloween

Happy 2009 Halloween! We had such a fun day. I decided that I love having Halloween on Saturday. You get to play all day long. To start the day out we headed down to my parents to spend a little time with them. It was nice enough that the kids went out and "helped" grandpa with the leaves and even got to jump on the trampoline. We headed home later that day to get ready to go to the Trunk-or-Treat. Luke was a lion.....yes again. He really does make costumes easy on me! Taylor was suppose to be a really cute puppy, but she was being really grouchy and wanted nothing to do with her costume so she went as......Herself (I think that's about as scary as they come!)

At the trunk-or-treat.

Luke and his crazy eyebrow thing.

Taylor being kind of happy and cooperative.

After the trunk or treat we went to Shawn's parents house for a spooky dinner. We had a snake sandwich, bat chips and salsa and brain cupcakes. After we were done eating Luke decided that he wanted to do some real trick or treating so we took Luke and Tay around the block. They loved it, and you wouldn't believe the candy they got! We are in candy heaven at our house.
All of the candy from Luke's bucket. It was filled to the top.

Who does he look like....

Gee..... I wonder!!! They both do this eyebrow thing and when I took the picture I couldn't believe how much they looked a like.

It's Time for Fall

Yesterday I had to rake the five billion leaves off of my property. I think I had every leaf in Idaho here. Tay came out to "help" us rake so of course I had to grab a couple of pictures. Shawn threw her in the pile of leaves, and she HATED it! But once she got use to it, she eventually had fun. But it took a few minutes. I thought this picture was hilarious!

Last night we went and picked out pumpkins and carved them. The kids thought it was great until we started working on them, then they were bored. Luke helped scoop out some of his pumpkin and Taylor wouldn't go near her pumpkin once we started scooping it out. She would look at it and then back away saying "yuck, yuck it's gross". Maybe next year!

Words of Luke

I love the things that Luke will come up with to say....for the most part. Here are a few from this week that made me stop and just have to laugh.

me: Luke why don't you go play?
Luke: mmmm, I just don't think that is a very good option.

The other night Taylor was laughing at something Luke did, so he turned to her and asked, "What are you laughing at chuckles?"

Shawn and I have this thing that whenever Tay has a gross diaper we yell "not it". Who ever says "not it" last has to change her. Luke has started yelling it to. So yesterday when the kids and I were eating lunch I could smell that Tay had a really rotten one, so I asked her if her bum stunk. Luke instantly yelled "not it." So I asked him if when our new baby comes if he will help change those diapers. He then told me that he won't change those diapers either because he is not a big boy. He's always telling us that he is a big boy and we have to make sure that we never say that he's a little boy because he always corrects us. So I said to him "I thought you said you were a big boy?" He then told me "I'm tall that's how I am a big boy, I'm not a big boy when I have to change diapers."

Oh I love him. He keeps me laughing!

Luke the VIP

Luke gets to be the VIP this week at school. The week that they are the VIP they get to bring a poster all about them and the things that they like to do, and then he gets to bring a special treat for everyone on thursday. Shawn helped pick out the pictures to put on the poster and I did have to ask him if these were things all about Luke or if they were things all about Shawn :) Luke was so excited to take his poster to school today (it was the first thing he asked about when he woke up this morning)...now I just need to think of something for the treat on thursday!

Some Favorite Pictures

These are just a few of my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Luke getting ready to go to school. He thinks that he needs to have his picture taken every time he goes to school, since I took his picture on the first day of school. And because Luke is getting his picture taken, Taylor thinks that she has to have hers taken too.

I love these pictures.

This is the first ultrasound of our new baby. We actually had the ultrasound a couple of weeks ago, I'm just a little behind!

It's time for school

Luke started preschool last Thursday and he loved it. And for Luke that is a huge thing. When I went to pick him up after school he didn't want to come home. And he's been asking everyday since Thursday if it was time to go to school yet. Who is this kid? But I'm not complaining, this is going a lot better then I thought it would. I just can't believe that he is old enough to be going. Where does time go?
